SAFETY TRAINING
If a person does not know …………… You train. (you tell them).
If a person now knows, but does not know how …………… You train. (you show them).
If a person now knows, and knows how, but still does not do …………… Maybe the training was the problem!
“Safety training, if done right, is a great investment, reduces the risk of accidents and injuries, and helps comply with OSHA regulations. But if done poorly, can lead to employee dissatisfaction, confusion, and can be a complete waste of time and money.” – Bart Leist
Training the “Right Way”:
We deliver our training modeled after the ANSI Z490.1 “Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health and Environmental Training.” It makes sense and results in more effective training. We take into account industry best practices, learning objectives, preparing course material, and establishing criteria to determine if the employee understood the material. This may be in the form of a quiz, hands-on evaluation or demonstration. Effective training can result in:
- Increase in observed safe behaviors.
- Decrease in accidents and near-misses.
- Increase in employee job satisfaction.
- Improved safety culture.
- Reduced risk of OSHA citations.afety Topics:
